What are donations used for?

Foster Home

Every dog deserves a second chance. At PawsRescueKE, we rescue stray dogs from villages in Slovakia and work to find them loving, permanent homes.

But before that can happen, they need a safe and supportive place to begin their transformation, and that’s where foster families come in.

Two types of foster homes:

Quarantine foster

This type of foster care involves taking in a dog immediately after their rescue.

Antiparasitic treatments are administered the same day, and vaccinations follow as soon as possible.

During the quarantine period, the duration of which we will inform you, the dog must not have contact with other animals to prevent any risk of disease or parasite transmission.

This option is best suited to homes without other pets.

Post-quarantine foster

This involves welcoming a dog after the quarantine period is complete and initial medical care has been provided.

At this stage, the dog no longer poses a health risk to other animals.

This type of fostering is well suited to families who already have pets or to those who prefer to care for dogs that are ready for more social integration.

Every little bit helps

We cannot simply empty these villages of dogs, these endless cycles of suffering will never stop unless we can reduce the number of litters born every week. That's why we now focus as much as we can on neutering to prevent new generations from being born into such tragic fates, education and improvement of life quality of the dogs who has to stay there for now...

We've found homes for many dogs and helped even more, but stopping the root cause of this issue requires more resources.
