Interested in adopting a dog?
Thank you for considering adoption, it’s a wonderful way to give a dog a second chance and a happy life!
We want every potential adopter to fully understand the commitment that comes with adopting a dog. It’s a long-term responsibility, one that lasts for the entire lifetime of the animal and it should be approached with care and reflection.

Each of our dogs has their own unique personality, background, and specific needs. That’s why we take the time to get to know both our dogs and our potential adopters. Our goal is to make sure each match is the right one, for you and for the dog.​
Step 1: Tell us about yourself
​Whether you already have a particular dog in mind or you’re just starting to explore the idea of adoption, we’re here to help. To start the process, we ask that you fill out our "Adoption interest form". This form gives us a better understanding of your lifestyle, daily routine, experience with animals, and the type of dog you’re looking for (if any).​
Step 2: Let's talk!
​Once we receive your completed Adoption interest form, we will get in touch with you to discuss whether the dog you’re interested in is a good fit for your environment and expectations.

If you haven't chosen a specific dog, don't worry. Based on the information you’ve shared, we’ll suggest dogs that might match.
Step 3: Adoption fees & signing the contract
​Adoption Fees
Our adoption fees help cover the veterinary care and other expenses we have invested in each dog. They allow us to continue rescuing and helping more dogs in need.

We always try to set the fairest possible fee for each dog, based on:

The dog’s age and sex

The veterinary care they have received

Sterilization Deposit
If the dog has not yet been sterilized before leaving for their new home, we will require a security deposit as a guarantee. This deposit will be returned once we receive proof of sterilization from your veterinarian.

Adoption Contract
To finalize the adoption, you will be asked to throughout read and if no changes is wanted, then approve with signing a contract. This legal document allows us to officially transfer the dog under your name and ensures that both parties understand and agree to the conditions of the adoption.
Step 4: Bring your dog home
​If you’re adopting from outside Slovakia, we’ll work with you to organize the dog's journey to their new home. Whenever possible, we strongly encourage an in-person meeting between the dog and potential adopters before adoption.

There are several options for transport:

You may choose to travel yourself to pick up your dog directly.

We can also arrange transport with our own team, depending on availability and location.

Alternatively, we can use a private pet transport service.

The method of transport will be discussed and agreed upon together, depending on what’s best for the dog and most convenient for you. Transport-related costs will be calculated based on the chosen option.
Our priority is ensuring that the dog arrives safely and comfortably to begin their new life with you.
